I bought this to replace my old pool timer. The directions were simple , but could be better. Integration with Google home is a simple on / off.I had to cut the rubber gasket to allow wire connection to screw on.Instructions (for 240 pool pump, 20 amp fuse): main power goes into 3 and 5( com 1 and 2, doesn't matter which way), and the pool pump into 4 and 6. Use jumpers 1 to 3 and 2 to 5.The hardest part is removing the old wiring , getting connections into the box, and getting the wires connected. The timer actually comes out easily and allows for wires to fit behind it. I found it easier to flip the timer out , connect wires, tighten screws, then flipping it back into place.Tools I recommend: knife, + and - screw drivers, pliers to loosen conduit connectors, wire cutters/strippers.It doesn't include screws for mounting to wall/ etc. But includes the jumper wires and 2 extra rubber gaskets.Cons: I wish the gasket would be more reliable. It sometimes comes loose when I open the box. I may need to add some caulk to address this. I don't like the wire attachment method.Pros: timer comes out for easier install and allows hiding wiring behind it. Simple.I was beyond shock, when I decided to turn the pump while on a cruise ship to see if it worked. YES! IT WORKED. I was able to see it on my ring camera. I knew that it could be turned on from 2 towns away, but from a ship? It worked right from the first time installed and we never had a problem.Simple to install and the WiFi compatibility is great to set schedules and remotely turn on and off. Much better than the older clock models.Had no wifi connectivity problems. This is only 2.4ghz so that may be an issue for some. Only issues with device:1. The ground lug is not large enough for (2) 10 awg wires. I had to use 10 awg terminal connector.2. the jumper wires supplied are 12 awg and you have to jump them to the same lug as a 10 awg solid wire. if connecting to 10 awg you need your own jumper wire to prevent a loose connection. This product helps us so we can put it outside without worryingEasy install works great. Just remember to have Bluetooth on for the setup. Total install 1 hour.Perfect swap out and easy to program. App connected in right away and scheduled start/off settings activated today and yesterday (Day 1) perfectly. Great price and product .I bought one of these a year ago to control a heated sidewalk. It is in the garage and there are no connection problems. Just bought another one to control my 220v compressor in the basement. For someone familiar with doing electrical work installation is straight forward. Connection to WIFi worked well even at a distance. Make sure you hold the on button in several seconds and then release. The blue light will blink fast and it is ready to connect. Start the app and it will automatically detect it. You can then edit the name to what you want. The Alexa app will find it and you can control it by the original app, Alexa app or by voice with Alexa. Mine automatically reconnects after a power outage without a problem.
