We purchase a pump from this company and what a big mistake. That’s what happens when you try and save a few dollars!!The first pump wouldn’t even start up, so they replaced it after many conversations with the company and the second replacement pump is approx 6 months old and it was repaired once and now completely dead! We took it too a local reputable pool store and they said it is not fixable, and never to buy pool pumps on Amazon. This pump was sold as a 1-1/2 HP motor but the pool store they said it was only a 1 HP. False advertising as well!!Original purchase was Sept. 2021, less then 1 year, and we had to buy a brand new motor for $300.00 plus tax !!PLEASE DONT BUY THESE PUMPS! We are out a lot of money, please learn from our mistake! It pumped air through the line from day one. I inspected every line and fitting to see if there was a leak. I replaced the parts on my pool vacuum thinking that was the problem. I took the filter cap off and reset it. Nothing worked. I called the company for assistance. Talking with them was a complete waste of time. Of course, by the time I decided it was the pump itself, the return window closed. I will never buy anything from this company again. The price of the 1.5 HP pool pump was a little high, however, if the pool pump had functioned, it could be a reasonable purchase. I had a terrible experience with two (2) pool pumps from the same company in 13 months. The Harris and Deheny pool pumps. It’s expensive installing and uninstalling pumps. Also, even user warranty, after 90 days the customer has to pay the return postage which may cost over. $62.00 via USPS.Worked fine for about 8 months then the seal started leaking. Tried to order seal on line but the part # off the parts list wouldn't go. Called customer service and was told this part was not available. Since it was under warranty they said to ship it back for a replacement. Rather than bear the cost and trouble to ship it I decided to see if I could correct the problem. Priding myself on being able to fix just about anything I managed to repair the seal (the glue holding the motor side of the seal had failed). Works fine now but what really ticks me off is that this part should be available after all the pump is still being manufactured and sold.this took my husband about 15 hours to install. They had to cut all of the extra pieces to size and then the dang thing wasnt working right and we almost had to take it out and do it again. Will prob pay for someone else to do it next time.Unfortunately the motor quit after 4 months. My pool service tech said it was wired correctly but the quality of the motor was questionable.Does it's job, would spend the extra money to get a name brand, it does not stay primed as will as it should, set it up with a doheny's cartridge filter. Seems when it kept a full prime it operates great and moves a lot of water.I was very happy with this pump.
