I've got a handful of cues, one of them I wasn't so sure about anymore, I think the bolt is crooked. I picked these up to help me properly shape my tips and check level, and they worked out great. Ignore the pictures that show someone shooting across them as a guide, thats not what they're for. Put them side by side and lay your cue across, then you can get the straightness. Roll the cue, see if it wobbles, if not, move them down a bit and keep checking. Everything in the shaft of my cue is straight, but when I went tip to end, I could see a slight wobble, only when the butt was added back to the stick. Sure enough, the bolt is crooked by just enough to wobble.
