This is a very good product and works as advertised. It is a good value. The only reason it is not a 5 star review is due to the difficulty I had in making it work - although this had nothing to do with the product itself. I only include it here in case my experience can help someone in similar circumstances.I bought this unit because it was the only one I could find on Amazon that would work with my pump. I have an above ground pool with a 1/2 hp pump. Every other similar vacuum unit required a 3/4 hp pump.I had a difficult time getting it to work at first, through no fault of the product itself. These types of pool vacuums use suction, and will not work if there is excessive trapped air or air leaks on the suction side of the pump. This is the first problem I had to address. I had to track down and get rid of all of the air leaks.Once I eliminated all of the air leaks, the unit still would not function. My pool has 2 suction lines from the pool to the pump. I use one for a skimmer and one for the pool vacuum. I assumed that a 1/2 hp pump would not have enough suction to run both. I installed plunger valves on the 2 suction lines, and shut off the line from the skimmer to the pump so that the pump was pulling only from the vacuum side. Problem solved. The pool vacuum works perfectly.So far, I can see only one downside. The unit's travel is entirely random, but is effected by the attached hose. Mine tends to spend way too much time at the outside of the pool at the wall/floor seam and not enough time in the center. It seems there is not much I can do about it other than let it run for long enough to do a thorough job everywhere. But even after running for 2-3 hours there are almost always parts of the floor in the center of the pool that it misses.All in all, a good product at a very fair price.
