We purchased this for our new above ground pool on the advice of our neighbor who just used one. He could not say enough good things about it. I have to agree. When I got the pad I was not sure how tough it was. Then I tried to trim and had the hardest time. My razor knife was useless my heavy duty scissors weren't much better. I ended up using a heavy duty set of plastic cutting shears, still tough work. once trimmed laid down perfectly put a couple of lawn staples at the outside corners and edge to hold it tight while putting the pool up. When walking on the bottom of the pool it is like walking on carpet. firm but no little pebble feeling or lawn issues. Very happy.
